Personal:
Kimberley Hyson is an associate at Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders where she practices civil litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice defense.

Kimberley was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended Pepperdine University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2005 with Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. In 2009, Kimberley received her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law, cum laude. While at Pepperdine, Kimberley served as a Literary Citation Editor on the Pepperdine Law Review, was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, and clerked at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. She also competed on the Moot Court team and served as the Interschool Moot Court Chair from 2008-2009. In 2009, Kimberley participated in Pepperdine’s annual interschool competition, the Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition, where she and her partner were named Champions by the final round bench. Kimberley also represented Pepperdine in Hong Kong in 2009 at the Sixth Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration East Moot, where she won Third Runner-up Best Oral Advocate.

In her spare time, Kimberley enjoys hiking, reading and coaching the Meadows School Mock Trial team.
