Originally from Kaysville, Utah, Jacob L. Fonnesbeck received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, in 2006. Following graduation from Weber State, Jake attended the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, in Salt Lake City, Utah, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2010. While in law school, Jake served as an Articles Editor on the Utah Law Review. He received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing/Methods, and Evidence. Jake also earned the College of Law Outstanding Achievement Award in Legal Writing/Methods, Federal Income Tax, Business Organizations, and Wrongful Convictions. After graduating law school, Jake moved to Southern Nevada to enjoy the sunny weather.
As an associate at Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders, Jake practices civil litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice, and commercial litigation. In his spare time, Jake enjoys participating in sports and outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
