A partner at Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders, Kurt Bonds specializes in all areas of transactional law including corporate law, business transactions, banking law, contracts, real estate matters, homeowners' associations, bankruptcy, family law, and estate planning. Kurt also currently serves as a Pro Tem Hearing Master for adult guardianship cases in the Eighth Judicial District Family Courts.
Kurt attended college at Brigham Young University receiving his Bachelor of Science in International Finance in 1994. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate in 1996 at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Kurt has been practicing law in Nevada since being admitted to the Bar in 1997.
An active participant in the legal community, Kurt is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, American Inns of Court, the Clark County Bar Association, the American Bar Association Business Section, the Community Associations Institute, and the Supreme Court Historical Society. He is a frequent seminar speaker on transactional law issues, estate planning, and legal issues affecting homeowners’ associations and management companies. Kurt was named one of Nevada’s top business attorneys in the 2008 “Legal Elite” issue of the Nevada Business Journal.
Kurt was born and raised in Glendora, California. While in college he studied abroad in Europe and spent two years residing in Brazil where he learned to speak fluent Portugese. In his spare time Kurt enjoys playing and coaching various sports and spending time with his wife and their five children.
